At Rain City Melodies music studio, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to bring the joy of music directly into your home. As a professional mobile music lesson company serving the greater Seattle area, the pricing here reflects not only the quality of instruction but also the commitment to my students as I navigate traffic, inclement weather, and long commutes so that you don’t have to.
I teach adult students and younger learners alike who have busy extra-curricular schedules and I hope that I can find the right time in my schedule for you. Because I service the greater Seattle area, we'll begin by looking at your location, and to see how you might fit in the schedule. Please keep in mind that the following rate includes recitals every three months, and all books, printouts, and course materials.
Cancellation Policy:
While many music-instructor companies enforce strict policies and most likely charge full fees for missed sessions, I only ask for a small cancellation fee in the case of very last-minute cancellations. However, with advance notice, we are happy to reschedule without penalty. We’ve received heartfelt feedback from our clients who value our fairness, flexibility, and the true care we bring to every lesson.
The base rate for a 30-minute lesson is $50, which will include a moderate amount of instruction. For those who opt for a full hour, I offer a 20% savings, bringing the hourly rate down to $90. Again, all necessary course materials, including books and basic accessories, are provided at no extra charge to ensure your learning experience is seamless and stress-free.
I have a number of clients who prefer to have multiple visits during the week to maximize their musical education. For families or individuals wishing to extend their learning time, additional time past 60 minutes is $30 per half hour. This rate includes multiple students within one household. For example, booking two full hours for two students reduces the rate to just $75 per hour—making it both economical and efficient.

For adult learners, a popular package is the "starter package" which includes one month (four weeks) of lessons. Please let me know if you would like to give one month as a gift and I'd be happy to facilitate that.

If you have two or more students studying different instruments it's even better. I customize, and produce comprehensive educational programs to include reading and performance, in addition to writing and producing compositions that are just for my students. I have had great success composing pieces for students in the same family. I have found that writing music has a profound impact on the ability of the student to not only learn music, but to make it their own.
